Anjali Mudgal
IB Coordinator
Anjali joined BSL community along with her husband Tarun, in August 2008.
Anjali grew up in Bangalore, a metropolitan city, globally known as the ‘Silicon Valley’ of India; where she completed her Graduation in Mathematics, Physics & Computer Science from Bangalore University, studying in one of the finest independent girl’s college – Baldwin Women’s Methodist College ; thereafter specializing her Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics (2004). |
Initially she worked in the banking sector as a Programmer and later moved to her passionate career in teaching, as a High School Mathematics Educator.
Anjali relocated to West Africa in August 2008 to take up an exciting and challenging assignment as a Mathematics Coordinator at BSL, amongst a unique and progressive multicultural setting. Now after completing her nine years as a high school mathematics educator, she feels fully contended on being appointed as an IB Coordinator at BSL for the new term.
As a trained IBDP and Cambridge instructor at BSL, she enjoys teaching Mathematics Higher and Standard Level of the IB Diploma Programme and IGCSE Extended/Core Math of the Cambridge University to the internationally diverse student community. She is also an IBDP Examiner for Mathematics HL Internal Assessment for the IBO.
Apart from academics, her enriching experience in extra-curricular activities include her key roles as Master in charge of Sports (Girls), Head of House, Head of Environmental Club, Official scorer for the school events and various boarding & after school activities including introduction of the Indian Cooking Club at BSL, which got critical acclaim during Term 1 from the students, staff & catering fraternity. Her initiative for the Global Concerns & Service projects led her to being nominated for the Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC), USA to attend The Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) held in United States & Europe, summer 2008. She has achieved a State Award for The Indian Scouts & Guides during her school days.
