Dave began as a biomedical researcher but switched to education 15 years ago, in Western Canada. He received a BSc in Molecular Biology from University of British Columbia and later his BEd from the same institution. He has taught many subjects, first General Science and Biology and then Mathematics for 10 years. He says that he has a passion for enquiry, for guiding students in how to reason more than how to get the right answer.
He also has a great interest in environmental and social justice issues and love to organize extracurricular student projects in these areas. Anyone with ideas on activities is invited to chat with him.
International vegetarian cooking is a passion as is rockclimbing, which has taken him all over the world.
Dave says that he is looking forward to exploring the region and getting to know the culture of the school, community and country.
