Business and Economics
I have lived near London for most of my life, but after my A-Levels at school, I went to Lancaster University in the north of England to study Economics, Marketing and Management, where I achieved a BSc with honours.

Before I began my teaching career I gained experience in commerce by working in the City of London for an investment consultancy, a facilities management company and a multinational wholesaler. I also spent time travelling to over 25 countries around the world, stopping to work in Australia and the USA. I have never visited Africa though, so I am very excited by the prospect of learning about a new culture, especially as I have the honour of teaching and living there.
My interests outside of work are mainly sport based. I currently play for a football team, and a Golf club. I also enjoy cycling, and I have just become a World Record Holder by cycling through 9 countries in 7 days for charity. So, I would certainly like to contribute to the extra curricular sporting aspects of the BSL.
I am an effective, passionate and enthusiastic Business & Economics teacher. I feel that my teaching benefits from being able to give real life examples of the theories and concepts due to my experience in commerce. I am sure that this will translate in to exciting and interesting lessons resulting in the commitment and achievement of the students in the class.
I look forward to working with you in the next academic year. |
