MUSICAL EVENTS

SCHOOL CHOIR
The British School of Lomé has two choirs: a Primary Choir made up of students from Yr - Yr and a Senior Choir made up of Parents and Teachers. They rehearse once a week and perform at the Singers Festival, where they perform different styles of vocal works each year. They prepare for the lessons and carols, held in Lomé Cathedral each December and join with the staff/parents choir, who rehearse at school one evening a week. The string group of students also perform a selected Christmas piece.

SCHOOL PRODUCTION
Each school year the school puts on a drama piece, usually selected by the Drama teacher. This year’s event is being directed and co-ordinated by the Music Director and the production will be “Joseph and his Technicolor dream coat” by Lloyd Webber. Students from Yr 3 to Yr 12 will be rehearsing from January to March. The actual production is the last week of term in March or April, just before the Easter break and is well attended by Parents, friends and students.
