Personnal, Social, Health, Education (PSHE)
At The British School of Lomé, all students follow a varied and inclusive programme of PSHE. The aims of the course are to widen a student's knowledge of the world around them, to help them prepare for their work both in school and in the world at large, to encourage them to make sensible decisions about their relationships and install confidence in them as they go through the various stages of growing up.
The course was recently complied following discussions and contributions from students, school staff, houseparents and parents. All students follow units of work in five key areas. These areas are : Health and Hygiene, Working in School, Sex and Relationships, the World and Personnal Development.
Each unit can involve students taking part in discussions, producing and giving presentations, analysing news items, using data and role play. Students will keep a record of their work which is assessed. |
