Learning Beyond the Classroom

At BSL, some of life's most important lessons are learned when students step beyond the classroom and experience the world for themselves.

Our Enrichment Trips programme provides opportunities for students to explore new places, encounter different perspectives and apply their learning in authentic contexts. Whether conducting fieldwork, collaborating with other schools, participating in expeditions or experiencing new cultures, students develop confidence, independence and global awareness while creating memories that last a lifetime.

From local curriculum visits to international experiences, enrichment trips are a vital part of the BSL educational journey.

For many students, this is their first international educational visit and a significant milestone in their personal development.

A World of Opportunities

Most BSL students will participate in one or more extended enrichment trips, and multiple day trips during their time at the school, creating experiences that extend far beyond the classroom.

Connected Learning

Many adventure trips support students as they complete their Award journeys.

Students may represent BSL through regional tournaments and sporting events.

Round Square

International collaborations and conferences connect students with peers from around the world.

Service-based experiences provide opportunities for meaningful community engagement.

Fieldwork and research trips support academic enquiry and independent investigation.

Learning in Context

Students regularly apply classroom learning in real-world environments through fieldwork, research and cultural experiences.

Beyond Borders

BSL students have opportunities to travel within Togo and further afield as part of their educational journey.
