BSL's Co-Curriculum

From adventure and leadership to creativity, service and international collaboration, BSL students develop the skills, character and confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

At BSL, education extends far beyond the classroom. Our co-curriculum provides students with authentic opportunities to apply their learning, discover new passions, develop leadership skills and make a meaningful difference in the world around them.

Whether participating in a Duke of Edinburgh International Award expedition, representing the school at a Model United Nations conference, leading a sustainability initiative, performing on stage, competing in sport or developing new skills through after school enrichment activities, every student is encouraged to grow as a confident, capable and compassionate global citizen.

The experiences students gain through our co-curriculum complement academic learning and help develop the qualities that universities and employers increasingly value: leadership, resilience, communication, collaboration, creativity and initiative.

Explore Our Opportunities
  • After School Enrichment Programme (ASEP):Discover new interests through our extensive programme of creative, sporting, academic and practical activities. More...

  • Enrichment Trips: Extend learning through local, regional and international experiences.

  • Sports Activities: Build teamwork, determination and healthy habits through competition and participation.

  • Service projects : Use skills, time, emotions and knowledge to be of service in the local and global community and gain in return.

Character and Leadership Pathways

At BSL, personal development is intentionally woven throughout a student's journey. As students progress through the school, they engage with internationally recognised programmes that build confidence, leadership, resilience, service and global citizenship.

Building global citizenship through international understanding, democracy, environmental stewardship, adventure, leadership and service.

Developing independence, resilience and leadership through challenge, service and adventure.

Empowering students to turn ideas into action through meaningful experiences in creativity, activity and service.
