BRIDGING PROGRAMME
The Bridging Programme is an English Fast-Track programme that aims to bridge Francophone students from the Brevet to the IB diploma. In one year, your child will receive over 1,000 hours of English training so they can go on to study the International Baccalaureate (IB) at the British School with confidence.
The Bridging Programme:

strengthens your child’s performance in French, Maths and other selected subjects

creates a smooth, stress-free transition from the French system to the IB diploma.
Our intensive English training ensures your child has enough time in the classroom to make rapid progress, even if they don’t know much English at the start.
By the end of the year, they will speak confidently, understand lessons in English and be ready to learn in an international classroom.
At the same time, they are introduced to the IB style of learning in French, Maths and other subjects to ensure that by the end of only one year, they are ready to start the IB Diploma.
The Bridging Programme is normally for Year 11 students, prior to commencing study for the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Year 12. It is also possible for Year 9 or Year 10 students to join this programme, prior to commencing study for IGCSEs.
